What is Heineken Experience

The Heineken Experience is one of Amsterdam’s most famous and most visited sights.

It is a self-guided Museum tour that takes you on the journey that every Heineken bottle goes through.

During the fascinating experience, you discover the history of the company with many interactive sessions and videos.

You also get a chance to see the four glorious natural ingredients used in making World’s best beer.

In the Heineken museum, you learn about the brewing process and the art of tasting.

To end the tour in the best possible way, you also get to enjoy two Heinekens. Buy Heineken Experience tickets

Where to buy tickets

You can get your Heineken Experience entry tickets at the venue or buy them online, much in advance.

If you plan to get them at the attraction, you must get in the ticketing window queue.

The second and better option is to book tickets to Heineken Experience online.

When you buy Heineken Experience tickets in advance, you save yourself a lot of waiting time by skipping the ticket counter queue.

That is why these tickets are also known as Heineken Experience skip-the-line tickets.

You also save money because online tickets are cheaper than the tickets at the venue.

How online tickets work

When you book Heineken Experience tickets online, you select your preferred time of visit.

Immediately after purchase, your tickets get emailed to you. You don’t need to take any printouts.

Now all you must do is, reach the tourist attraction 10 minutes before the time mentioned on your ticket.

Since you have a ticket and are on time, you can show it on your smartphone and walk into the Heineken Experience Museum right away.

Ticket prices

The Heineken Experience ticket costs €21 for all visitors 18 years and older.

Kids 17 years and younger are not permitted inside the attraction.

When you book these tickets at the venue, you pay €3 extra per person.

Ticket discounts

The most significant discount on Heineken Museum tickets gets offered on online purchases.

For a visitor 18 years and above, the walk-in Heineken Experience ticket costs €24, but the same ticket when booked online costs only €21.

Thus, online tickets help you save money and time (you don’t wait in the long queues at the ticket counter).

Heineken Experience doesn’t offer discounts to seniors or students.

Regular Heineken Experience tickets

This Heineken Experience ticket includes entry to every corner of the Heineken Museum, two Heineken beers, and a band as a souvenir.

You can decide which experience you will like to try first – the Canal Cruise or the Heineken Experience.

Is Heineken Experience worth it?

The tour covers the journey of the now global company, dating back to its beginning in the 19th century as a small family business.

Visitors get to learn about the brewing techniques from the 19th-century to the latest technology used today.

You can smell and taste the four glorious ingredients used by the company.

Along the journey, you also taste the pre-beer ‘wort.’

To end everything on a beery note, you dive into the world’s best beer.

During the trip, you learn about the brewing process of the world’s best beer.

The 4-D experience ‘Brew U’ takes you from the brewers to the bottles.

Upfront, The Heineken Experience does seem like an expensive activity.

However, tourists who have been on this tour loved it.

So much so, every year, the attraction wins the Tripadvisor’s Traveller’s Choice awards.

In short, The Heineken Experience is totally worth the price.

How long does Heineken Experience take

Most visitors spend two to three hours learning and exploring during the self-guided tour of the Heineken Experience.

Only the entry is timed, but once inside, there is no time limit on how long you can stay.

The duration of your Heineken Experience will depend on two factors – the time you spend waiting outside to buy the tickets and the time you spend inside exploring the Museum.

Tourists who land up at this Beer Museum without tickets end up standing in long queues at the ticketing counter.

These waiting times are incredibly long during the peak summer months.

We highly recommend you buy Heineken Experience tickets online and save yourself precious time and energy.

Tripadvisor reviews

Situated in an old brewery, the Heineken Experience today is undoubtedly one of the most visited places in Amsterdam.

The Heineken Experience has captured the hearts of many visitors to Amsterdam, with the history and fun it has to offer.

Perfect for a beer lover

You can’t go to Amsterdam without going to see the brewery. The tour includes two drinks, and for the beer lover, this is ideal! The fascinating thing about it is, it’s within the City Centre. – Jane

Lots to see, taste, smell and try

Interesting interactive, self-guided tour with lots to see, taste, smell and try. Two pints at the end of the tour plus a half-pint in the middle where you learn to fully enjoy a Heineken was included in the fee. And also a free, guide canal boat ride to their centrally located branded store. The guide here was hilarious, and they offered a possibility to buy a Heineken during the ride. Great value for money and a wonderful visit if you like beer or history! – Danny Bacon
