Pondering over which observation deck to visit – Summit One Vanderbilt or The Edge?

What to expect from The Edge at night

When illuminated at night, the Edge becomes a beacon against the background of a darkened skyline.

The exterior lighting of the structure creates a striking contrast against the night sky, drawing attention to its sleek and modern design.

Though Sunset from the Edge treats you to New York’s best view, the view from the Edge at night is no less.

From the Edge NYC, visitors are treated to a phenomenal view of the Manhattan skyline, with the Empire State Building, One World Trade Center, and the Chrysler Building illuminated by thousands of lights.

Beyond the city, the Hudson River gleams under the moonlight with boats and ferries going through the waters.

Looking eastward, visitors can see Times Square, one of the most vibrant intersections in the world, with neon signs, digital billboards, and LED displays that create a dazzling display visible from miles away.

Amidst the urban chaos, calm and green spaces can be found in Central Park and the Hudson Yards Plaza, where trees and foliage provide a refuge from the concrete jungle.

Above all this beauty on earth is the starry sky manifesting nature’s magic.

Reviews of The Edge at Night

The Edge Hudson Yards is a highly-rated tourist attraction; some visitors especially love The Edge NYC view at night.

Spectacular!

Originally, I wanted to go right before sunset, but it was cloudy, so we purchased an 8 pm ticket right after sunset to catch the night view. It was spectacular!! We spent at least two hours wandering around, sitting, relaxing, taking pictures, and a sip of rose champagne to toast. Nobody is rushing you to leave, which I love. Mind you, I have lived in this area for over twenty years, so I’ve seen the city skyline a thousand times over from different vantage points, but this is truly the best seat in town. It’s worth every penny.

Night Skate Visit

I Went at night and definitely worth it. Buy tickets online; they charge more at the entrance. Drinks are reasonable. Skating was a hit for the kids.
