Amazing journey through time

This is a very interesting museum about the history of NYC. Great exhibits and a wonderful half hour movie concisely describing the history of NYC.
And they have an excellent gift shop!!

The best museum for history buffs!

If you like history, this place is for you. There is a ten minute movie on NYC’s evolution from Dutch trading post to now. The exhibits have objects found in excavations. Original portrait of Hamilton used for $10 bill is there. My favorite part was the analog history, during which I came of age. Typewriters, index cards, Lino type machine, etc.
