Boat ride to the Prague Zoo and entry tickets
This combo ticket lets you enjoy a 75-minute scenic boat ride along the Vltava River followed by entrance to Prague Zoo.
A professional guide will lead the boat tour, sharing insights into Prague’s landmarks, including Prague Castle, the Dancing House, the National Theatre, and Charles Bridge.
Upon reaching the Prague Zoo, the guide will provide you with an admission ticket and a map of the Zoo.
The boat ride begins at 11.15 am and the full tour, including zoo exploration, lasts about 7 hours.
The tour is available in English, German, and Russian.

Prague Zoo timings
Prague Zoo opens at 9 am all year round.
From June to August (peak season), it closes at 9.
In January, February, November, and December (winter months), it closes at 4 pm.
During April, May, September, and October (shoulder months), it closes at 6 pm.
The last entry is allowed half an hour before closing time.
The main entrance ticket office is open daily.
On weekends, public holidays, and school holidays, the Southern and Northern gate ticket counters are also open to handle more visitors.

The best time to visit the Prague Zoo is around 9–10 AM during the summer. Animals are most active then, and the zoo is less crowded.

Prague Zoo is home to 681 species, including 132 reptiles, 293 birds, and 167 varieties of mammals. It has 12 pavilions and 150 exhibits.
One of the biggest and most expensive animal pavilions is the Indonesian Jungle, featuring many exotic animals like orangutans, fruit bats, and endangered species like the Binturong.
It’s the only zoo in Europe to house Asiatic lions from India and also has Malayan tigers, red pandas, and Malayan tapirs.

Feeding times at Prague Zoo
At Prague Zoo, you can enjoy special feeding sessions with giraffes and camels—tickets for these are sold separately inside the zoo.
Camel feeding starts at 1.30 pm, and Giraffe feeding begins at 2.30 pm.
If you fancy Camels, you can approach them closely, feed them, and stroke them as well.
Each session lasts 30 minutes and includes fun facts shared by zoo staff.
Note: Children under six are not allowed to participate.

Visiting Prague Zoo in winter offers a peaceful experience with fewer crowds and a scenic, snowy setting. You can experience the Zoo at a relaxed pace.
