The Water Park is one of the major theme parks at Legoland Florida, an adventure destination for tiny tots and pre-teens.

With its several rides and attractions, the Legoland water park in Florida will get you soaked and feeling refreshed. 

Since the Water Park is inside the Legoland Theme Park, guests must also purchase admission to LEGOLAND to access the Water Park.

Legoland Florida Water Park hours

Legoland Water Park in Winter Haven, Florida, opens at 10.30 am, 11 am, or 12 noon, depending on the day and time of year. 

Accordingly, the water park’s closing time varies between 4 pm, 5 pm, or 6 pm. 

Ticket booths open approximately 45 minutes before the park opens, but book your Legoland water park tickets in advance to save waiting time and money.

When is the Water park open?

Legoland Water Park closes in October due to winter and reopens in March again.

It is open every day in June, July, and August, and on most days of March, April and May.

The water attraction is open only during the weekends in September and October.

Legoland Florida Water Park tickets

Since they sell off soon, it is better to book your tickets for the Water Park at Legoland Florida much in advance to avoid last-minute disappointment. 

Legoland doesn’t offer a Water Park only ticket, as the attraction is located within the LEGOLAND theme park.

If you plan to visit the Water park, you can opt for one of the four combinations available – 

1-Day combination ticket

This option includes 1-day admission to LEGOLAND Theme Park and LEGOLAND Water Park.

Cost of ticket (2+ years): $137 per person 

2-Day combination ticket

This option includes a 2-day admission to both LEGOLAND Theme Park and LEGOLAND Water Park. You must redeem the second day within nine days of first use.

Cost of ticket (2+ years): $165 per person 

2-Day LEGOLAND Resort + Water Park + Peppa Pig Park

This ticket gets you 2-day unlimited admission to the Theme Park, Water Park, and Peppa Pig Theme Park based. 

You must redeem the second day within 14 days of first use.

Cost of ticket (2+ years): $185 per person 

3-Day LEGOLAND Resort + Water Park + Peppa Pig Park

This ticket gets you 3-day unlimited admission to the Theme Park, Water Park, and Peppa Pig Theme Park.

You must redeem the second and third days within 14 days of the first entry.

Cost of ticket (2+ years): $212 per person

Tip: Towels are not part of the Water park tickets, so it is better to get your own. Or you can purchase from the Surf Shop.

Is Legoland water park worth it?

What to do at Legoland Water Park

The Legoland Water Park near Orlando has six exciting adventures which every family loves. 

Build-A-Boat

At Legoland Florida’s Build-A-Boat, you get a chance to build your boat with LEGO bricks and race with your friends or family. 

Build-A-Boat is part of the Creative Cove section.

Build-a-Raft Lazy River

Imagine designing and building your own unique LEGO vessel – that’s what you can do at Build a Raft Lazy River. 

After you have a raft ready, you check its water-worthiness by floating 

around the 1000-foot-long lazy river.

Since water in the Build-A-Raft River is 3 feet (almost a meter), children under 42 inches must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Joker Soaker

Slide, splash, and get soaked in this interactive play area called Joker Soaker, filled with slides, climbing areas, water spouts, and a wading pool.

Get under for a super splash from the giant 300-gallon bucket if you love some action.

To try out the three Lower Level Slides at Joker Soaker, kids must be at least 36 inches tall. 

To try out the four Upper-Level Slides, they must be at least 40 inches tall.

LEGO Wave Pool

At the LEGO Wave Pool, you can catch some waves or cool off where the waves are just big enough for all ages to enjoy.

Children under 42 inches must be accompanied by a responsible adult and are not recommended to go past the bright red line across the LEGO Wave Pool.

Splash Out

This Legoland Florida ride is ideal for thrill-seekers. 

Just select your adventure and ready, set, slide!

To try out the speed slides at Splash Out, guests must be at least 48 inches or taller. 

Twin Chasers

Ride tubes 375 feet (114 meters) down an intertwining pair of enclosed water slides before plunging into a refreshing pool below.

Kids must be at least 42 inches to ride Twin Chasers.

Children under 48 inches must be accompanied by a rider at least 48 inches tall, wear a life vest and ride in a double tube.

Important: Children under 48 inches or weak swimmers are recommended to wear life vests. Life Vests are available free of charge at multiple locations throughout the Water Park on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Dress code for Water Park

Since the Water Park is inside the Legoland Theme Park, many tourists wonder if they can explore both the attractions in their bathing suits. 

Unfortunately, that’s not allowed – guests must be fully clothed when entering and leaving LEGOLAND Water Park through LEGOLAND Florida. 

Guests must be appropriately dressed while exploring the Theme Park and change into bathing suits only while visiting the water park. 

Inside the LEGOLAND Water Park, all guests must wear proper swimwear. 

Guests in revealing or inappropriate swimwear are requested to leave the water park.

Orlando’s favorite water park doesn’t allow swimwear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets, or metal ornamentation inside the premises.

Wetsuits are permitted in the pool areas but not on slides. 

Swim diapers are required for children three years of age and younger.

Height restrictions at the water park

Riders must be at least 42 inches (107 cms) to ride Orange Rush, Splash Out, and Twin Chasers.

The DUPLO Splash Safari slides require that a responsible adult supervise a child under six.

On Build-A-Raft River, kids below 42 inches (107 cms) must be accompanied by a responsible adult of this height or taller.

The same is for Soak N Sail, but the requirement is for kids below 36 inches (91 cms).

At the Pirate Reef, children must be at least 36 inches (91 cm) to ride, and those 42 inches (107 cms) must be accompanied by a responsible adult of this height or taller.

At Crug’s Run/Cragger’s Swamp, 36 inches (91 cms) and at Crooler’s Twist, 40 inches (102 cms) is the minimum rider height.

At the Lion Temple Wave Pool, kids below 42 inches (107 cms) must be accompanied by a responsible adult of this height or taller, and anyone below 48 inches (122 cms) must wear a life vest.

Additional information

  • Water shoes are allowed to be worn in the water park everywhere except on the water slides.
  • Only official Coast Guard-approved life jackets with associated labels attached are allowed. Life jackets are available for use within the Water Park free of charge in the Waterpark Guest Services on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Lounge chairs are available for guests on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Water Park.
  • Lockers are located at the Water Park entry area near the restrooms for daily rental. Rentals start at $15 for the day and use a secure, keyless system. Lockers accept only credit cards.

Food at Water park

At Beach-n-Brick Grill, you can enjoy a vast assortment of yummy meals at this outdoor eatery. 

With items like fresh burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, and delicious salads, this place will satisfy even the hungriest beach bum.

Visitors can bring bottled water, snacks that do not require heating, any food required for special dietary needs and nutrition for babies.

Picnic lunches, alcohol, and glass containers are not allowed inside the Water park.

Guests can bring coolers into LEGOLAND Water Park with the requirements listed below.

  • Soft-sided insulated bags no larger than 8.5″ wide x 6″ high x 6″ deep
  • Coolers/bags with wheels, not to exceed 8.5″ wide x 6″ high x 6″ deep
