Yadegar Asisi is an Austria-born artist known for creating some of the world’s most extensive 360° panoramas.
In Berlin, he has created The Panorama DIE MAUER (the Berlin Wall), which reflects the atmosphere and day-to-day life of 1980s Berlin in the shadows of the Berlin Wall.
On the Panorama, Asisi has depicted everyday life he experienced in the West Berlin district of Kreuzberg in the 1980s.
You get to see the way people lived on both sides of the Berlin Wall – despite being just a stone’s throw away.

What to expect at DIE MAUER
All guests see Asisi’s work from a visitor platform, from where they get a realistic view of the 360-degree panorama artwork on a 1:1 scale.
You will take the position of a West Berlin citizen who lives in Berlin-Kreuzberg directly opposite the Berlin Wall with a view of the German Democratic Republic (GDR) Death Strip.
The Panorama transports visitors to an autumn day in the Kreuzberg area of Berlin.
THE WALL highlights the daily routines of the divided city in numerous interweaving scenes and settings over some 25 years.
Even as you enjoy the Panorama, music composed by Eric Babak transports you right in the middle of all the action.
