Legoland rides in Florida – best rides and what to expect

At the Legoland Theme Park near Orlando, both kids and parents can try LEGO-inspired rides and attractions that promise fun for everyone.

Legoland Florida Resort has around 55 exciting rides distributed between the Legoland Theme Park and Water Park. 

The Theme Park boasts almost 50 rides distributed among 13 unique zones.

Rides such as Lego Movie Masters of Flight, Ninjago the Ride, Lost Kingdom Adventure, Kid Power Towers, etc., are the most popular in the Theme Park.

There are six rides in Legoland’s Water Park.

Most of these Legoland Florida rides have minimum height requirements for the safety of the riders.  

This article explains all the Legoland Rides in Florida’s Theme Park.

Legoland tickets for the rides

Tickets to the Legoland Theme Park include access to all the rides at Legoland Florida. 

But since Legoland also has two other attractions – the Peppa Pig Theme Park and the Legoland Florida Water Park, you can get the tickets in numerous combinations.

There are eight different ways to purchase your Legoland Theme Park tickets and gain access to the rides.

LEGO Technic

Aquazone – Wave Racers

Aquazone Wave Racers will cool you down on a hot Florida day as you race through the waves in LEGO Technic and dodge water blasts.

Feel the wind in your hair and spray on your face in the Lego world where getting wet is super fun!

Guests must be able to transfer to ride vehicle seating or raft. Guests have to stand in the Aquazone pod.

Guests between 40 – 52 inches must be accompanied by a responsible rider 14 years of age or older in the same vehicle.

Technic Tot Spot

At Technic Tot Spot, kids can slide, climb and build! Even the smallest guests can take control in this shaded play area just for them.

Technicycle

Show off your pedal power in this high-flying ride called Technicycle that you can control.

 Pedal faster to go higher, or relax and glide closer to the ground.

Minimum height: 36 inches

Guests between 36 inches and 48 inches must be accompanied by a responsible rider 14 years of age or older in the same ride unit.

The Great Lego Race

Popularity: High

Brick fans, start your engines! At The Great Lego Race, you become the center of an action-packed road rally thrilling roller coaster.

During the road rally, the laws of physics and aerodynamics only loosely apply. 

Minimum height: 
42 inches without virtual reality headsets
48 inches to ride with the virtual reality headsets

Riders between 42 inches and 48 inches must be accompanied by a responsible rider 14 years of age or older in the same vehicle.

The Beginning

Rebuild the World

Rebuild the World is an immersive build experience that encourages children and their parents to unleash their imaginations by building, unbuilding, and rebuilding the World of their dreams with, of course, LEGO® bricks.

Planet Legoland is a world with no rules, just pure creativity.

It is a land where anything can happen.

The Legoland Story

This part of Legoland Florida narrates the origin story of LEGO.

Visitors can find out what the first minifigure looked like, what was the first LEGO toy, where was the first Legoland, etc.

Kids will love the unlimited possibilities to build, brick by brick, as they also see what the Master Model Builders are creating.

Fun Town

At the Build-Your-Art Gallery, kids and parents can experience the creative possibilities of LEGO Dots for the first time.

They can use bold and colorful LEGO Dots tiles to create their masterpiece and add it to the gallery wall for display.

The Grand Carousel is a double-decker carousel and is the centerpiece of Fun Town. 

Children can choose their favorite horse and giddy-up.

The Lego Movie World

Battle of Bricksburg

At the Battle of Bricksburg water ride, riders are challenged to help defend Bricksburg by spraying the evil DUPLO alien invaders and help stop them from invading and stealing LEGO bricks. 

Those outside the water can also join in the fun by manning the water canons and helping the riders save the day. 

Minimum height: None

Guests who can sit upright without assistance can join the ride.

Children under six years of age or less than 48 inches must ride with a responsible person age 16 years or older. 

The responsible person must be seated on the same bench as the child.

Benny’s Play Ship

Benny’s Play Ship is a fantastic playground, and kids feel out-of-this-world.

Join Benny on his giant spaceship play-ship before and prepare for takeoff.

Emmet’s Super Suite

At Emmet’s Super Suite, you will stroll through downtown Bricksburg and find Emmet’s apartment.

Emmet and his friends are spotted by guests daily in Emmet’s Super Suite.

Both kids and adults love to take fascinating photographs in this part of Legoland, Florida.

THE LEGO MOVIE Masters of Flight

Emmet’s Triple Decker Flying Couch is a flying theater attraction that whisks guests away on an action-packed adventure on a suspended ride with a full-dome virtual screen.

At THE LEGO MOVIE Masters of Flight, guests get the sensational feeling of flying while watching something alongside.

The one-of-a-kind experience is the first attraction at a major theme park in the United States that embeds a 180-degree turn in the ride experience.

Minimum height: 40 inches (or older than three years of age)

Guests between 40 inches to 52 inches and 3 to 8 years of age must be accompanied by a supervising companion age 14 years or older, seated next to them.

Unikitty’s Disco Drop

At Unikitty’s Disco Drop, guests enter through the rainbow portal to join the fun with Unikitty and her many personalities. 

Drop, dip and swoop on this fantastic, thrilling, and fun experience full of positivity and rainbows.

Minimum height: 40 inches (or older than three years of age)

Guests between 40 inches to 48 inches and 3 to 6 years of age, must be accompanied by a supervising companion age 14 years or older.

Miniland USA

At Miniland USA, you will walk through re-creations of many regions of the USA in ultra-miniature, pointing, gasping, and shaking your head in disbelief. 

Millions of tiny LEGO bricks are used to create these incredibly detailed dioramas straight out of a day in the USA.

The best part about this part of Legoland Florida is that the more you look, the more you see.

There is no minimum height requirement for Miniland USA.

Duplo Valley

DUPLO Splash & Play

Duplo Splash & Play is a fun, refreshing play area with intermittent water spouts and interactive water elements set among larger-than-life farm animals with a soft deck for safety.

DUPLO Tot Spot

DUPLO Tot Spot is designed especially for children under two and features a small slide and colorful playhouse. 

It is a fun, exciting play area that is safe and secure for younger kids.

Minimum height: None

DUPLO Tractor

At the DUPLO Tractor ride, toddlers can ride on a tractor just their size and help the farmers plow the cornfields and search for missing farm animals.

Handheld infants are not permitted on the tractors.

Minimum height: None

Guests 42 inches and above can ride unaccompanied, while children under 42 inches must ride with a responsible person 48” or taller. 

The responsible person must be at least 14 years or older. 

DUPLO Train

Toddlers can board the DUPLO train on their own or with their parents to explore countryside-themed scenery, passing through farms, fishing holes, and campgrounds.

Handheld infants are not permitted to board the train.

Kids under 34 inches must ride with a responsible person 48 inches or taller, while those taller than 34 inches can ride unaccompanied.

Florida Prepaid Schoolhouse

Florida Prepaid Schoolhouse is an indoor attraction built with little brick fans in mind.

It features a variety of soft-play activities, an interactive touchscreen for kids to practice numbers and letters and explore future careers, and a stage for exciting entertainment.

It is a great place to head to when it rains or to step into if you want a break from the heat.

LEGO Kingdoms

Merlin’s Challenge

At Merlin’s Challenge, you climb aboard a mysterious wooden train ride powered by the wizard’s magic. 

Spinning around the magic will put you into a medieval spell and is thrilling for small riders as the train goes up and down the tracks.

Minimum height: 36 inches

Guests below 48 inches in height must be accompanied by a responsible rider 14 years or older.

Royal Joust

At the Royal Joust, youngsters can immerse themselves in a fairytale as they ride on their own LEGO horse through a medieval forest.

They will see other jousting knights and enchanted creatures along the way.

Kids must be able to transfer to ride vehicles.

The minimum age to get on the horse is four years, and the maximum is 12.

The maximum weight for the kids must be 170 lbs.

The Dragon

At The Dragon, kids have a roaring good time as they conquer the twists and turns of the indoor/outdoor steel roller coaster.

The Forestmen’s Hideout

Coastersaurus

Coastersaurus offers a wild ride in the jungle for the whole family.

This family wooden coaster curves and dips in and around a prehistoric jungle of animated and life-sized LEGO brick dinosaurs.

It is a must-do kid-friendly thrill while at Legoland Florida.

Lost Kingdom Adventure

The Lost Kingdom Adventure is an exciting indoor ride where you will ride a desert off-roader vehicle.

Pharaoh’s Revenge Land of Adventure is an outdoor attraction where parents and kids can fire soft foam balls at enemies and explore Pharaoh’s Kingdom’s maze.

Boating School

At the Boating School, you will be the captain of your own boat. 

You will put your navigating skills to the test on these fun-filled LEGO-themed boats through calm waters to your final port of call.

Flying School

Flying School is a suspended coaster where guests take flight into the LEGOLAND skies and soar through the clouds.

Kids below 52 inches in height must be accompanied by a responsible rider of this height or taller. 

The maximum rider height allowed is 6 feet and 5 inches.

Ford Driving School

Popularity: High

At the Ford Driving School, little brick fans conquer the rules of the road while pretending to be policemen, firewomen, taxi drivers, or any driver they choose in LEGO City.

Kids can hit the road after getting their personalized LEGOLAND Driver’s License from the Driving School Store.

Drivers must be aged between six to 13 years. 

Kids younger than six years can practice at the Ford Driving Junior School.

NFPA Rescue Academy

At the NFPA Rescue Academy, kids take control of their fire truck or police vehicle and race to put out the fire.

This attraction opens at 11 am.

Tot Spot

Tot Spot is an air-conditioned play area for smaller kids. 

Kids can prepare for takeoff, climbing, and play in this airplane-themed toddler’s paradise.

At Kid Power Towers, guests use their super-kid strength to pull themselves up to the top of the towers to enjoy an aerial view of the beautiful Lake Eloise and the theme park.
