Truly one of the wonders of the world as a key to Venetian history and character. You’ll find monumental paintings by Tintoretto and enormous paintings of the battle of Lepanto. There’s also excellent descriptions of sculpture, artwork, and history by the curators. They indeed serve as a guiding example to many, if not most, world museums.
