Turkey has historically served as a blending pot for several civilizations, notably the Turkic peoples of Central Asia, the Byzantine Empire, and the Ottoman Empire.

Therefore, Turkish dance combines various styles, each with distinctive qualities.

The most notable Turkish dances include the Whirling Dervishes (sufi), Rakkas (male belly dance), Oriental Dans (belly dance), the Halay and Zeybek folk dances, and the Çiftetelli, influenced by Romani culture.

You can enjoy a splendid evening of Turkish dance, a decadent feast, or a dinner cruise and feel like royalty in Istanbul.

Reviews

Turkish Dance Shows are highly-rated tourist attractions.

Check out two Turkish Dance Show reviews we selected from Tripadvisor, which give you an idea of what to expect at this attraction:

It’s a great way to spend an hour

Extremely enjoyable at an hour long, not too long to get bored or uncomfortable, and plenty of costume changes and different styles of Turkish dance. The man on the drum was amazing. Only a small venue, three seats deep, with about a hundred people in the audience, so everyone is close to the show with good views.

Garyturnercarpentry, Tripadvisor

Fantastic show, with talented dancers and musicians

Fantastic show, very entertaining and enjoyable. It includes very good belly dancing and dervish dance, although not in the traditional white robe, but the dancer was incredible. Well done
