Visitors need at least 2 to 3 hours to explore the Palace of Versailles, and to explore the whole Estate, 5 to 6 hours is required. One hour of travel time each way is required if traveling from Paris.

Bring water

The Palace of Versailles can be exhausting, so bring water and snacks to keep yourself hydrated and energized while exploring.

Wear comfortable shoes

Versailles Palace is the World’s largest royal domain, and exploring it requires a lot of walking. It is a good idea to wear comfortable shoes for a better experience.

It's challenging to take good photos of the Palace of Versailles interiors due to the crowd. Artwork on the ceilings can still be captured, and the Gardens provide great photo opportunities.
