The Central Coast, just an hour north of Sydney is a great weekend getaway for family and kids. It has what one calls – something for everybody in the family. Starting from the beaches, to adventure biking, diving, water activities, shopping, excellent dining options and heritage sites. Just 120 kms from Syndey, this makes for a quick weekend getaway with family – just 90 minutes and you can reach your holiday destination. Bowral is at the base of Mount Gibraltar and in the past has played its role as a retreat for the rich. The place is full of gardens and tulips in spring, so your family will best enjoy a visit to this weekend getaway during the spring months. If you are into wind surfing, nothing can be better than the Seven Mile Beach.
